Engineering and Technology

The fields of Engineering and Technology hold separate and very distinct meanings, but they have come together to influence the world like no other.  The  two fields have such a dependence on each other that they now find themselves forever linked as a single institution.  Disciplines falling under engineering and technology are diverse have great range and value to our society.  It is then no wonder why so many engineering and technology seminars exist.  They provide a proving ground and spring board for discussion, scrutiny and advancement of important concepts in the engineering and technology arena.

Engineering and Technology Sectors

Common disciplines at the crossroads of engineering and technology are diverse.  They include the transportation, energy, built environment, information and communications, and of course design and production.  These engineering and technology sectors are by definition constantly growing, changing and expanding.  Thus the need to stay up to date with learning and continuing education.   It is almost impossible to maintain knowledge base without the aid of seminars and conferences

Engineering and Technology Seminar Topics

Many topics for engineering and technology seminars might be a surprise.  The diversity of the engineering and technology sector makes this possible.  Topics of engineering and technology seminars cover  the commonly associated such as computers and the internet, robotics and manufacturing.  There are others that you might not think of such as forestry, renewable energy and information technology.

Notable Engineering and Technology Seminars

Advanced Topics in Artificial Intelligence (ATAI 2012)
22-23 October 2012, Singapore, Singapore

The ATAI conference covers a mixture of applications and theory over a wide spectrum of artificial intelligence topics.  It should be of special note to those researchers interested in application of Intelligent Systems in engineering with seminars touching on distributed design and manufacturing, scheduling, and power systems.  Of paticular note will be a keynote address delievered by Professor Peter Struss, head of the MQM Reseach Group based in Munich, Germany.  Information can be found at www.aiconf.org/

World Congress:  Brave New World? Genetic Engineering & Human Dignity
2-5 August 2012, Pasadena, California, US

This conference endeavors to attract scholars from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines.  In this setting, there will be discussion of Gentech’s potential for benefits in fighting disease, hunger and new discoveries in the bio-sciences.  This information will be weight against its social, psychological and spiritual implications as relates to challenges to human self-understanding.  The central question will center not on concerns, but their impact on human self-identity and free choice.  As well as how engineering and technology can benefit, rather than enslave humanity.  Look for more information at www.JIS3.org/icsavii.htm
